Current Job description
I am acting as General Manager - North India & Africa Region for a company called "ITCOL Shipping & Logistic Ltd" which is a subsidiary of our parent company "Indian Techno mac Company Ltd" which is primary into manufacturing of Ferrous Metal Alloys & Mining too. My Job is to monitor & fulfill captive logistic requirements of our Parent Company & It's Associated Companies. This involves negotiation with Shipping Lines, Air Lines, Freight Forwarders, Transporters, Custom House Agents & Custodians of Various CFSs. This also involves liaison with O/Seas agents. Hiring the smart,eligible & experienced professionals for our region. To set up their respective budgets, goals & KPIs & to assist them in achieving their desired professional goals.
Ensuring Growth
In order to attain continuous growth & develop as a leader, This is demand of time to identify & venture into niche markets which are untapped & where you have scope to grow. Team support is a must so you must ensure & manipulate such strategies which are for the betterment of your team mates so that you could win the trust of your team mates & could bring the desired output from them.
My advice
My advice to the upcoming management leaders would be to work hard with sheet commitment, sincerity & dedication in order to achieve their respective professional goals. When you realize that you have attained & reached at comfort levels in your current assignment that that is the time when one should look for new challenges,new markets & new opportunities to explore.
Family background
I comes from a upper middles class family. My father was in Govt. Job, My Mom is a house wife & have got one elder sister and a younger brother both settled professionally. My dad being in transferable job my pre-primary, Primary & Secondary education took place in various parts of the country. I did my graduation in the year 1998 from University of Gorakhpur. Afterwards I completed my "Industrial Management" from IIT, Kanpur. Further through correspondence I completed my PGDBM from IMT Ghazibad & MBA from NIM,Delhi. I am married now. My wife is a house wife, Have been blessed with a daughter & a son aged 11 years & 9 years respectively.
Excellence in Management
In my current Job, During the last 1 year, I have been quite instrumental in expanding our network with the country & in O/Seas also. We set up 3 new biz associates in South Africa, China & Tanzania. Further we were able to not only achieve but exceed our budget which was assigned to us by the Top Management.
Influenced by
In my life, I have been greatly influenced by the thought process & working of two great gentlemen named "Mahatama Gandhi & Swami Vivekanand". Both this great souls were determined to do & achieve what they had fixed as their goal in their life. They had the true leadership qualities through which they were able to inspire & change the though process of Masses. They were able to conceive their thought process in a very dignifies & successful manner to the whole world.

Have received numerous awards basis on my performance, leadership quality in my prior organizations in India, Dubai, Jordan & Kenya.
Handling Grievances
As a leader we are liable to look after & protect the interest of our subordinates. Whether it is a personal or professional grievance, One has to be very prudent, analytical & accurate in resolving such issues. This approach is further required while doing appraisal for subordinates.
My views on India Technical development
We are lacking deeply on technological advancement & innovation . We may say though the Infrastructure is good in form of having institute like IITs in our country but this is not sufficient. If we look at the youth population of our country, The no of such institutes are still very low not sufficient enough to fulfill the needs. what make it even more complicated that these few institutes are also in the reach of a certain sect of our society due to high cost of acquiring such education. There is hardly any subsidy from the Govt on promoting such education. The education level at primary level is also very pathetic in our country only affluent people can afford to send their children to good privates schools as getting admission to them itself is very expansive. Situation & Standard of Education is even worse in Government Schools. Unless we improve drastically on this basic infrastructural requirements, we can't bring forward talented and innovative youth of India.
Important career decisions
After attaining a comfortable position in India in my respective field, It was a real good move for me to shift to O/Seas in order to get an international exposure & to understand the global market trend.
Team Management
In my opinion, Team environment should be cordial & competitive. Each member should be willing to come forward & to put his respective best in order to achieve team & organizational goals. The urge to put forward one's best ability should not be coercive but willingly.
Leadership qualities
In order to be a good leader. First of all one must be a good human being who understands & respects human emotions, values & culture. Who could connect & establish a rapport with his team mates easily. Team mates could relates themselves with their leader. who could identify with him. The leader must know how to extract best out of his team mates.
Managing personal and professional life
By monitoring & analyzing the ongoing set of events or happenings, we can make out whether we are going in right direction or not ?
