Graduation Project: Quality Assurance in EPC projects A case
study on quality assurance aspects taken on Gorakallu Balancing
Reservoir. In the present study quality assurance activities
in the EPC contracts is carried out at the construction site of
Dam for Narasimha Raya Sagar (Gorakallu balancing reservoir),
Nandyal. Gorakallu balancing reservoir is a SRBC project of
the Government of Andhra Pradesh. SRBC is a major project
envisaging the utilization of 19 TMC of Krishna water. Two
balancing reservoirs are proposed, one at Gorakallu and the other
at OWK to store water during flood season drawing water from
Sreesailam reservoir. About 10,000 cusecs of water will be drawn
through the SRBC system to OWK reservoir. Flood flow canal is
proposed to take off flood flow from OWK reservoir to Gandikota
reservoir to carry 10,000 cusecs of flood water and this canal is
of 53.65 Kms. Completed under the guidance of Mr.K.Srinivas.
