Brief description about me
I am 24, entrepreneur, heading a startup, Embedtrix Labs, in Noida/Gr. Noida as its Chief Technology Officer. Embedtrix Labs is all about the technical upliftment of engineering students upto the levels that the industry deserves. We specialize in Embedded Systems/Design. We design customized training content for companies engaged in manufacturing and design of products.
I work as a Subject Matter Expert, trainer and content designer. I also lead a development team of 3 for an ongoing project for a client in the domain of DVB and IPTV. My experience is of 3+ years, worked with Siemens and set up Embedtrix Labs alongside. Now I'm working full time for my Embedtrix Labs.
Challenges in job
Everyday is a challenge for an entrepreneur right from managing workforce, R&D, planning service delivery and keeping clients and employees happy. One big challenge that I face is the lack of skilled professionals in my domain. But yes, we are learning to thrive and it will definitely assist in our future.
Job made easy
We focus on regular internal trainings, a lot. That makes it easier to manage, and delegate.
Upcoming Trends
Interest in Embedded technology is growing day by day, India is also slated to become one of the preferred destinations for electronics R&D and manufacturing. That clearly indicates that the demand for electronics/software professionals is going to rise. This peak would demand us to develop newer and better training content, customized per industry type.
My point of view
The faults are in the roots. Our system of education is more oriented towards theory. Practical approach needs to be taken so that ideas can be incubated into successful POCs and finally products. We regularly interview fresh graduates who have almost NIL practical knowledge. Besides , research and entrepreneurship needs to be promoted. All these steps have to be taken by the government itself, as was done in China, Korea, Japan.. Taiwan. You can compare our performance in the olympics with our product expertise. Both need active involvement in finding out the root causes for dismal performance, which apparently seems to be of a low priority to those in-charge.
My goals
We want to train and develop.. to learn, innovate, share and help everyone grow. In the next 5 years, I see my venture and my team as one of the best trainers/content designers in the North to have made its humble impression on the career of thousands of engineering students and professionals all over. Besides, we dream of becoming the first ARM approved training lab in the North.
Family background
I belong to Rampur (U.P.). I come from a family of teachers, my mother, father, grandparents all of them. I have an elder brother working with a reputed multinational.
Advice to professionals
My advice would be to focus on individual skill development for the first few years. Excellence should be the mission, success follows naturally.
Advice to students
My advice would be to let them know that the industry expects much more from an engineering graduate that what their institute imbibes in them. Apart from learning the regular studies, they have to look forward, get trained and work hard to improve their skills, whatever domain they are in.
