Providing consultancy and trainin in Project Management, ISMS, ITSM, Software Quality, CMMI® and IT Manufacturing. A licensed third party Lead Auditor of ISMS. Ribhu conducted hundreds of third party QMS, ISMS, ITSM, EFQM, Sw. CMM and CMMI audits/ assessments.

Points of inflection

During 1997, when I switched over from hardware manufacturing to software, it was a challenge to be accepted in software community.Also, whenever I had a manipulator boss, who was not straight forward and lacked professionalism, I found it difficult to remain productive.

Plans for the Future

I would like to see 'Quality Mentors™' not as a large consultancy firm but as the one who really adds value to its client organizations.

My past experience in civil aviation, providing CAD/CAM workstations which were declared most reliable hardware for 3 consecutive years and conducting audits/ assessments/ project health-checks in large multinationals are proving to be real assets while providing training and consultancy services

A Fine Balance:

I take up only those assignments which give me professional satisfaction. Working hard on such assignments doesn't really stretch me.

Changes in the industry

Teachings of Gurus like Joseph Juran, Philip Crosby and Edward Deming during 1970s to 2000 time-frame have really taught the industry the importance of PDCA cycle, emphasis on planning, reviews and continual improvement. QC based approach has over the decades changed to proactive QA based approach.

The Journey So Far

Started in 1977 in Indian Airlines and worked with DCM Data Products, Wipro, HCL Infosystems in IT hardware, and changed to Software Quality while in HCL Infosystems. Have since worked with Bleum Inc, an American company in Shanghai and Headstrong. Am running my consultancy organisation since 2008.

Most Important Decisions

Switching to software quality which interests me and not compromising with basic principles just because some street-smart people or bosses liked it.

Model based process improvement and QA of cloud computing business are the future trends.
