I have 36 years of experience in SAIL and Vizag Steel in managerial positions in Training & Development, Corporate HRD and Marketing. At Andhra University, I served as Member, Board of Studies of Deptt. of Metallurgical Engg., College for Yoga & Health, and Human Resource Management. I am a Qualified Assessor for CII-Exim Bank Award for Business Excellence, Qualified Lead Assessor for ISO 9000 Systems and Internal consultant for TQM implementation. I introduced modern HR practices such as PMS, Role & Goal Setting, Six Sigma & TQM, etc., and have done one million hours of training. I served on the Board of RINL, Vizag Steel Plant, as Director (Personnel), and was Board Member of International Federation of Training and Development Organizations (IFTDO), Geneva. I contributed to the growth of ISTD in various capacities such as National President, National Vice President, Chairman, ISTD, Visakhapatnam Chapter, and Regional Vice President (South). I have published 31 papers in different disciplines, and was awarded the “Indira Super Achiever Awards”, being the 1st recipient of such award from PSUs in India, the “Vishal Bharati Gaurav Award” from Delhi Telugu Academy for Excellence in HR field, and the “Most Powerful HR Professionals of India” by World HRD Congress 2010.

I bring into the classroom all my rich experience in one of the top industries in the country. Hundreds of practical and real examples and case studies from my experience help the students to unravel the implications and meaning of the theoretical concepts learnt.

My training experience in the industry has molded my teaching style in that it takes into account the individual needs of the students rather than considering the whole class as homogeneous and a monolith. My teaching style which is judicious mix of lecture, audio-visual presentation, and activity (including case analysis and live project) that involves students, aims at catering to different learning styles.
