Could you tell us briefly about your family background?

My father,Mr. Nisheeth Kumar Srivastava is retired scientist from Defense, and my mom Mrs. Chandana Srivastava is retired Vice Principal from a college based at Kanpur (UP), have younger brother who is into short film making,I have done my MSc in Zoology from Kanpur University.

Changes In The Professional Environment:

I feel there are lots of changes in past couple of years when it comes to my Industry : Placements, now too many players are there in the market and candidates too having lots of open opportunities so its really tough for them to decide through which consultant they can move further.

The Journey So Far:

Being a HR consultant from year 1998, I have been interacting lots of Corporate companies from different Industries and its always mixed experience while handling their positions, I enjoyed working with few of my clients a lot the way they give Importance to firms like Marlin.

Plans For The Future:

I always have a dream to take my firm to the level where we should able to provide good jobs for all the candidates who approaches us, and I am working towards the goal.

Other Thoughts:

I am thankful to Silicon India for giving me this opportunity to express my thoughts and they are doing a wonderful job by giving lots of importance to middle level companies like Marlin.

Job Profile:

I am handling end to end recruitments for middle level positions.

Career Profile:

I am responsible for converting the companies in to my clients and then giving my best to close their positions in the given time, earlier I use to only handle first rounds of Interviews but now I am even doing Business development for Marlin.

Working Life Management:

Its tough but I like taking challenges, and I am able to manage because of my colleagues in office and my support system my husband at home.

Required Reading:

Keep reading updates on Industry through different web sites, Interact with lots of seniors from your Industry and keep attending seminars, conferences etc.
Meeting people is the best tool of HR segment.
