Job Profile:

As a Sr. Analyst in Risk and Compliance team,
I do the internal audits based on the ISMS policies of the company to ensure that the company is 100% compliant to ISO 27001 security framework.

Career Profile:

My current profile requires me to perform internal audits, perform risk analysis and present the GAP analysis report to the management to seek an appropriate risk treatment plan

The Decisions That Matter

Everyday is a new day and decision making is a part and parcel of my job. So it's difficult to pick up any one such decision. However, while taking a decision, I always follow my instincts and consider the facts and take the decision considering the best option available to a given situation.
When you follow this simple strategy, you never go wrong and you never have to regret on any of your past decisions.

The Journey So Far:

It has been full of choices but yes, it would be a lie if I say I have never come across any downs in my career. It again boils down to the same point, options that we have and choices that we have made. important to be positive at all times and its prudent to gauge the negative impact of the action, before we take a decision.
We should be in a position to weigh the pros and cons and take the decision judiciously. I personally never let go off my ethics and principles and try to be fair in my conscience.End of the day I am answerable to myself and I should not have any reason to be ashamed of me. Doesn't matter how grave the situation may seem, this strategy helps me remain positive and it becomes easier for me to move on.

I would have started my career in Information Security directly instead of juggling between different operations and functions.

Degrees That Matter:

Yes, it helps, if you have CISRA, CISSP, ISO27001 LA, CISA,CISM and CISO. At least the first 3 certifications mentioned here would kick start your career on a positive note.

It has become more competitive and more organized. Every year more and more intelligent minds are joining us and it is becoming a universe of intelligent ideas and technologies
