Brief description about me
Myself Devashish Gaur,25 years young, belong to Delhi . Currently working in Pune,IBM as a Solution Expert -Transportation Logistics. I have 5 years of work experience after my education. My current job profile is of individual contributor. It is parallel profile between consulting as well as delivery in the software industry. My role is to create a perfect solution for client in the due time simultaneously removing road blocks in the delivery .

Challenges in job
My role is quite challenging as delivery a software solution on the top of a standard solution is not an easy job, esp when you have lot of constraints. On the other side these constraints makes my job more enjoyable as this sets a criteria for an innovative and a challenging deliverable. This helps me to utilize my knowledge to utmost extent simultaneously give me a chance to learn more in a less time.  This is helping me in my future target as I love challenges ,esp when it deals in creating a solution with minimal criteria. With this I am able to utilize my acquired skills which sets my long term target.

Job made easy
Since my job involves proposing solution and removing roadblocks,so half of my job is done when I talk to client and my team. Rest what is left is done by implementing my acquired knowledge, as I just have to place bits and pieces at a correct place to connect all the elements and to get the job done.
Upcoming Trends
Since industry is going through a great change in itself, I would like to mention a few game changers .

a. Mobile: Demands of enterprise business apps, need for strong, scalable and a robust business app.
b. Cloud Computing: Since everyone is mobile , safe and secure cloud is something which could connect them seamlessly .
c.Social Networking : Professional yet more social networking is required . So foray of social networking in the enterprise will create more business

Prospective towards India technical developments
This is true that Technical talent in India is quite dominating, however it would be unfair to say that we do not have technical product that is made in India that  is not dominating. Since there are various products from Indian companies which are supporting the business enterprise for various large corporations. Nevertheless, We still need to put more effort in the innovation, and when I say innovation that does not mean we should blindly invest ,rather We should find out right places to invest to have a fruitful results. Ventures which could support the enterprise . Sales which could make that product dominating in the market. Product is just part, selling is other and plays a major role.
My goal
My goal for the next is to learn more about my industry to evolve more as a consultant.

family background
I have been brought up in a joint family of 20 people. My father is a yoga teacher and my mother is Sanskrit teacher. I have two younger sisters and both are techie.

Advice to professionals
My advice is to "Stick to the Base". Always rely on the knowledge you have acquired.  Be honest to yourself. Be clear about your goals. Make short term as well as long term plan and work on it to get it. Be professional . Last but not the least " Work hard and party harder" .

Advice to students
Being an alumni, I got several invites from my Alma mater to say few words to current students. I would like to share that one. I said : This is your future, and it is in your hands. You have just acquired the qualification which is a good thing, that means half the job is done, now the time is to implement that, and knowledge always help. Your knowledge is your power and its honest implementation is fruitful ,nothing else's is. So have a learning attitude and create a short term plan which will help you to achieve your long term ambition.
Connect with people more and more. Have a good discussion with them . Learn about them, what they do, how they do, what different they do to perform the regular task. Try to analyse yourself, make a list of your strengths and find what all things you can achieve by leveraging those qualities. Try to see what is your weakness and what could create a roadblock  in your success path. Then apply your capabilities to overcome those roadblocks.
