Major Responsibility: Responsible for entire factory
operations 1. Interacting with major direct customers along with
sales team, understanding their critical requirements and
bringing meaningful changes in Manufacturing and Planning systems
considering short and long terms. 2. Guiding procurement head to
strategise for vendor development, cost cutting, new product
development, reduce lead time, make or buy decision,
etc. 3. Guiding departmental heads of Manufacturing and IED for
productivity enhancement, time and motion study, fixing time
standards, cost reduction in terms of production and tooling,
etc. 4. Taking decisions regarding capital investment
considering short and long term business. 5. Guiding Production
Planning and Control head to reduce cycle time between order
generation and order fulfilment, and working capital cost
reduction in terms of RM, WIP and FG inventory. 6. Collaborating
various critical requirements of customer, vendor, production,
tool room and guiding design department for new product
development. 7. Guiding HR department for negotiation with
union on various IR issues including wage agreement.
8. Tracking industry development and using industry benchmark
for all activities mentioned above. 9. Ensuring quality control
through deployment of operations and quality
procedure. 10. Ensuring adherence to EHS norms throughout the
factory.
