Goals and Ambitions
In this era of technological changes, developments, and regulatory changes, planning anything for more than 2 years is fraught with danger. It is very likely that your idea of 'tomorrow' will change before 'tomorrow' actually arrives; hence your focus should be on immediate to mid foreseeable future. Anything more than that should be ambitions or rather aspirations that would keep you going. In my opinion anything more than a 5 year plan should be strictly at a very high level (philosophical) in nature. For example I don't aim at becoming a partner/principal/Director, rather target a management position that is equivalent of above mentioned position.
Current Trends
IT in healthcare seems like a game changer, IT companies will have more business from healthcare industry like automation of the jobs, integrating various HIS, value based care, health analytics, clinical trials analytics, remote monitoring devices integration and may more. More over Obama-care will playan important role in changing the industry in next 2 years, But in India healthcare is still in gestation period, the day Indian health care laws reforms that will be the boom for IT in India.
Challenges faced in job
The work in which I'm indulged is full of challenges and innovations, working under pressure helping me in training myself how to cope up in pressure, how to prioritize your task, how to break the thought limitation, think beyond imagination and mold it into reality.
Views about 'Tech product Introduction is weak among Indians'
Basically the reason behind this is lack of PEST analysis i.e. political, economic, social, and technology. We lack sufficient experts in this field who understand product positioning, viral marketing, social media and how to leverage a product's brand. Lagging in Infrastructure setup too. Other reason what I feel now a day’s person are more aligned towards branded company and competition at low level rather broadening their thought process and breaking the tip of the ice berg.
My achievement
For me every day is an achievement. Because achievement means something that is achieved successfully in some or the other way- I achieve one or the other things daily.
Books recommended
I don’t follow any of the books in particular in my personal life, but I feel every person himself is a book having only three chapter past, present, and future. Sometime person write himself or he tries to take guidance from other and write, just read anything what you feel interesting and try to learn from it.
But in professional life I want naive learner to follow “Java complete reference” and “Head first java” (as I’m from java background)
My strongest Skill
Sound knowledge on technology and on healthcare domain basically in the US healthcare industry.
Being different
I don’t believe in segregation from others, everybody is unique and they have their own built-in quality, so if you segregate yourself you won’t be able to learn from other.
Managing professional as well as personal life
By prioritizing the task and by time management
My advice
I like this question very much… this is the question on which I keep guiding my close one who seek my guidance, many people forget about their goal, that when you are pitching your career you are in the practice net, not in the tournament so keep practicing, keep doing your hard work, don’t think of brand of the firm, how much you are getting paid and how much your friends getting paid. One’s job is to do the job with the full throttle and with honesty. Keep away the negative thoughts, keep motivating yourself, and seek help from right person who is more experienced then you. Just love your job not the organization (N. Murthy from Infy).
My important career decision
Leaving my medical career behind and moving into the software industry.
Family Background
I belong to family with high moral values, my father is a cardiologist working as joint director medical and health services with govt. of Madhya Pradesh, mother house wife, one elder brother-sister in law both working and well settled in US.
Making job easier
Support from my manager who keeps motivating me and my team who always support me to deliver task on time.
Company and job profile
It’smy pleasure to introduce myself; I am Ashutosh Mishra from Sagar, Madhya Pradesh. I'm a person with zeal to learn new things, a keen observer, jolly nature, and like motivating others when required. At present I'm employed with Deloitte US-I as senior research analyst in Bengaluru. Deloitte is a firm which provides you overall growth; maintain balance between personal and professional commitments. I'm enjoying my work in Deloitte. My work is full of innovations and challenges as I am into product development. I love executing challenging task. My work involves both technical and functional (Healthcare domain) task here at Deloitte.
My role model
I will say role model’s rather role model, each and every one from my family are my role model.
My father who always taught me how to be a good human being: After daily phone usually I make or they make he end his call with a line which always remain embedded in mind, heart and soul “Trust in god and do the right”. My mom taught me how to keep patience if the conditions are not in your favor, my brother and sister in law taught how to seek positive things from negative things. These are small things which keep me motivated, and make them my role model.
