Environment is dynamic, the more aware you are, higher edge you have to excel in your field. in age of technology, be a smart worker.
Degrees That Matter:
I have recently been certified with Brainbench for my Business Communications & Business writing skills.
Plans For The Future:
in a pure Corporate Communication role. CorpComm is profile which creates a distinguished identity for your company. your messaging, choice of media is a great decider on kind of positioning for your company.
The Journey So Far:
My journey started as Sales & Marketing executive with IT company where my profile was a mix of both the activities. the exposure included external marketing, interaction with clients, giving product demos apart from representing company in international trade shows. the exposure made me more extrovert and gave me the right cue to present and interact with clients.
Currently, working with another IT company, my role is more internal facing where i get a feel of how employees percieve and react to marketing activities undertaken.
Family Background
I hail from a family of government employees. My father retired as a principal with IHM, Ahmedabad under Department of Tourism and my mother is a housewife. while i was keen to join IHM, my father knowing my potential encouraged me to pursue MBA and explore my skills in business management.
I have a elder sister who is Dietitian by profession.
Required Reading:

Career Profile:

Creating web footprints with Social Media Marketing, PR and articles

Earlier, my role was 70% sales & 30 % marketing. Marketing was completely external focused. My current role is pure marketing and has optimum mix of Internal & external marketing activities
Growth Strategy:
To ensure growth and learning, i spend considerable time exploring newer options for marketing. in line with my career plans, my manager Nirav Shah ensures to engage me in activities in line with corporate communication. marketing is evolving at a fast pace, and it is imperative to keep up with the developments in the field
Prized Accomplishment(s):
In my last company, initiating webinars at national & internal level is worth mentioning. with my present company, some accomplishments worth mentioning are initiation of employee & client newsletter.
Role Model:
My Role Model is my Dad who hails from a small village. Owing to his inspirations, he made it big in his life. While a typical government employee impression is that of a secured job holder with no worries and no pressures, i have seen my dad excelling in his field and creating a new milestone each day. till date i feel, inspite of having a govt. job which is always secured, he has slogged more than a PVT. job employee to contribute and improve the institution to bring it to greater heights.
I have also been inspired by my manager, Nirav Shah, who has a inspiring learning curve in his career!
The Decisions That Matter
Joining on Marketing profile inspite of a finance background. Marketing is more dynamic and exciting. There are new developments happening each day. Best part about being in this field is you can connect to people internally and externally.
Changes In The Professional Environment:
Professional environment is a relative term especially in terms of team/people you are working with. the immediate team is a definite decider of professional environment created around you. However, considering the dynamics of the external factors like industry and employment scenario, there was a slump in economy way back in 2007 and a stagnancy again now in y2013. in my entire span, i have been in Gujarat, and people here are more amicable and you don't get to see the cut throat professional attitude which you get to see in other metros. I enjoy working in the environment as it is right balance between professionalism and friendliness.
