Could you tell us briefly about your family background?
I am Ajay Chowdhry, born on 29 Nov 1963 in Military Hospital, Allahabad; as one of the twins to Late Mr S N Chowdhry a Civil Gazetted Officer with the Indian Army and Lt Col Rajamani ANdrews Chowdhry a Nurse with the Military Nursing Service. was educated in St Josephs College, Allahabad.
Done Differently:
Instead of joining the Army maybe would have joined the Merchant Navy....
Changes In The Professional Environment:
the internal environment has undergone drastic changes with the younger generation not being groomed as in the yester years leading to erosion of all the values that the Army stood for .......
Plans For The Future:
see myself quitting the Army and finally joining the corporate sector as a PRO with one of the leaders
Degrees That Matter:
communication and soft skills which are not taught anywhere in the academy's or training institutes
Career Profile:
I am the inter face between the Army and the Civil set up .... the difference is the in the freedom of action and decisions that I can indulge in which was not there earlier in the previous appointment...
Role Model:
A role model is Jim Dornan from the US who has built an umpire with his dedication and hard work to create values and an empire for his family which is unsurpassable
The Decisions That Matter
my decisions to stand firm in my belief of what is the truth, not to give in to psychophancy, to be loyal to my juniors the way my seniors expect me to be loyal to them and of course not to look for cheap popularity in boosting my own career ....

The Journey So Far:
part time in the corporate while helping out a friend to set up his BPO in India ..... an eye opener to the ways of the Corporate sectors mind set n style of functioning which though not far removed from the Army is still very different in its Ethos n Work Culture
