13. Lord Swraj Paul

Swaraj Paul is an Indian-born, British-based business magnate, philanthropist, and Labour politician, who is the first Indian-origin person to become the deputy speaker of the House of Lords. He resigned from the post, but still continues to be an unavoidable presence in the political circles of Britain. He was honoured with the Padma Bhushan in the year 1983 and later on with the Bharat Gaurav award by the Indian Merchant’s Chamber.

Nikki Haley is the current Governor of South Carolina, who is real inspiration and matter of pride to all Indians. She is the first woman to hold this prestigious position and the second Indian origin Governor in South Carolina. Moreover, this 40 year old lady is the youngest present Governor in U.S. The S.C. Association of Taxpayers named Haley as the “Friend of the Taxpayer” and Gov.
