The U.S. Congratulates India over Successful Landing of Chandrayaan-3

The US vice president and several other officials have congratulated India on becoming the fourth country to land on the surface moon and the first nation to land on the South Pole.
American politicians, newspapers, and space research institutions are expressing their appreciation for India’s successful Moon landing of Chandrayaan-3, gladly welcoming the country to the elite club of three other nations. The United States, Russia, and China have already placed their footprints on the lunar surface, following which India has become the fourth nation to join the club. However, India itself has become the first country to land on the south pole region of the moon, among the group. ISRO firmly believed that this region of Southpole contains traces of water.
The US Vice President Kamala Harris congratulated India on this historic event, mentioning it as an incredible feat for all the scientists and engineers involved. She further expressed the honor the US state takes in partnering with India on this mission and space exploration. NASA administrator Bill Nelson also congratulated India on its successful landing.
PM Modi’s state visit to the US from June 21st to 23rd had an agenda to make critical discussions on varied sectors, including space. During the visit, India signed the Artemis accord and will be working with its member nations on an international space station.
Chandrayan-3 touched down on the uncharted lunar south pole at 6.04 p.m. on Wednesday, 24th August, 2023. It is an honorable and historic moment for India, breaking the record that no country ever touched the moon's south pole.
