‘Don't let any icon die before he/she is dead’

Abhishek, a Mechanical Engineer has one regret when he comes across the overwhelming response to Khanna’s death. He asks, ‘’why does everyone start praising and missing the icon when they are dead? Figuratively, they are dead when they disappear from the cinema altogether as everyone forgets about them at that time. For me, personally he lost all the charm when he went on to do a B Grade movie (Wafaa) as his last film. Isn't there a fair question why industry play double standard and if they still loved him so very much, why weren't there any decent roles offered to him for his cadre?

He was a great actor when he was. Many of his songs are itched on my memory and I still remember a teacher of mine crooning his "E mere dil ke chain" for the whole class when I was in 11th grade. But a request to the people related to cinema world, please don't let any icon die before he/she is dead. There has to be a better way to connect to those legends after they are not in mainstream cinema anymore’’.
