Tribute to Khanna

Harbinder S. Riar, a big fan of Khanna have managed to build up a good collection of magazines, articles, film posters, video & audio recordings of all aspects of the Hindi Film industry with a particular emphasis on Rajesh Khanna. He tells that ‘’It is so sad that he has now passed away, I truly feel he was a one-of-a-kind and a true 'star' in every sense of the word. The overwhelming response to his death just proves it.’’

‘’I grew up watching his movies and he was my idol since my college days. The romance and love that he portrayed through his characters and dialogues from his movies are like frozen in time for me. For the past so many decades that I have been in the Bay Area, reminisced his roles from so many romantic movies that depth is no longer available in today's generation of stars; at least not to that extent.

I always remember the last scene from 'Amar Prem' when Pushpa (Sharmila Tagore) leaves and he says with a tearful smile and a hand waving goodbye "Pushpa I have tears". Rajesh Khanna with that teary face but blended with his ever loving smile leaves an unforgettable image on your mind forever.

I am deeply saddened with his passing away but he will always be remembered for his work and performances he portrayed throughout  the 60s and 70s. He gave 15 consecutive hits in 1969 and 1970s that is an unbroken record to date’’, says Ash Sharma.
