WASHINGTON: Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton has raised about USD 90 million in the month of July, her campaign said today.

The Hillary Campaign begins August with USD 58 million in bank.

The money raised by Clinton was both for her campaign, Hillary for America, and also for other Democratic races through the Hillary Victory Fund.

"We come out of the Democratic National Convention with our party united and our supporters energised for the final 98 days of this campaign," said Hillary for America Campaign Manager Robby Mook.

"Our goal for the next 98 days is to take the remarkable outpouring of support we saw as Hillary Clinton took the stage in Philadelphia and build on our efforts to organise and mobilise millions of voters to elect progressive candidates up and down the ballot in November," he said.

HFA said its average donation for the month was just USD 44 and about 54 per cent of donations in the month of July came from new donors.

The campaign also saw its best 24-hour period for online fundraising of the campaign with more than USD 8.7 million coming in online between 8 pm on Thursday, July 28 and 8 pm on Friday, July 29 as Clinton addressed the Democratic National Convention and officially accepted the Democratic nomination, a media release said.

About USD 63 million of the total raised was for Hillary for America while about USD 26 million was raised for the DNC and state parties across the country through the Hillary Victory Fund and the Hillary Action Fund.
