Raj Goyle

Raj Goyle is a democratic politician who represented the 87th District in the Kansas House of Representatives for four years, from 2007 to 2011.He was also the nominee for Kansas’s 4th congressional district in 2010.

During his three months as a candidate for Congress in Kansas’s 4th Congressional District, Goyle was successful in raising a record-breaking amount of $403,083.68. Goyle had also set a record in 2006 for raising the maximum amount ever for a state house race. He set a record by winning that election and serving the 87th district as the first Indian American member of the Kansas legislature.

As a state legislator, he listed his main concerns as "no free lunches from lobbyists, educating our children, reducing health care costs, real solutions on energy, fighting for immigration reform," and "helping small businesses.

Goyle completed his higher studies from Duke University and Harvard Law School. He is member of numerous committees such as Taxation, Vision 2020 and Judiciary.
