Vinay Bhat
Vinay Bhat is an Indian-American chess Grandmaster who earned this title in the year 2007, at the age of 23.He has the maximum performance rating in the United States Chess League history and was ranked #16 in the US as of the 2010 US Chess Championship.
At the age of 10, Vinay became the youngest national master in U.S. and when he was 15 he was recognized as the international master, creating history by becoming the youngest one to achieve this title at that time.
He was awarded the Samford Fellowship in the year 2008, a fellowship that was created to "identify and assist the best American chess masters under the age of twenty-five by providing top-level coaching, strong competition and access to study materials’’.
Vinay who completed his graduation from Lynbrook high school in San Jose holds a B.S. in statistics and political science from California University.
