BANGALORE: Indians have conquered heights in various fields such as politics, business and academics in the U.S. and across the world. However, when it comes to acting there are few Indian actors working in Hollywood have excelled in the field with their ability and have taken the universal movie market by storm. Let us have a look at some of the eminent and talented Indians who have made it big in Hollywood

Kal Penn: Kal Penn was born as Kalpen Suresh Modi in Montclair, New Jersey. He grew up in a typical Indian family and aspired to be a professional actor. Following his passion, Penn attended Howell High School, for learning fine and performing arts. He completed his higher learning at Freehold Township High School and later attended the University of California, Los Angeles, majoring in sociology and performance.

After attending UCLA, Penn got small roles in films and television. In 2000, he got the opportunity to act in films like American Desi, National Lampoon's Van Wilder, Harold and Kumar; all these movies have acclaimed good critics. He also acted in television shows like House and 24.

Besides, Penn has also served as an Associate Director in the White House Office of Public Engagement. Being an Obama supporter since 2007, Penn was provided the opportunity to co-chair the re-election campaign of President Barack Obama.
