Hari Nayak



Hari Nayak is a chef, restaurateur, author, and a renowned Indian food and culinary consultant. In "Modern Indian Cooking", one of Nayak’s best seller cookbooks, his signature style of cooking is quite evident.



Hari is the co founder of "Cooking for life” which was founded by Vikas Khanna and he has also organized numerous fund raising culinary events to provide an helping hand to the victims of like Tsunami, Gulf Coast and Katrina.



Hari uses a combination of classic Indian dishes with a touch of global flavor added to it and he prefers using simplistic techniques.



My Indian Kitchen: Preparing Delicious Indian Meals without Fear or Fuss by Tuttle Publishing is Nayak’s latest book.



Nayak completed his graduation from Welcomgroup Graduate School of Hotel Administration in Manipal and attended Culinary Institute of America for further studies. He has worked in many of the prominent restaurants in New York City.
