Bangalore: Temples have been built since ages and many new ones open their doors every year. The number of temples in U.S. has been rising over the past few years. Here is a list of five prominent Hindu temples in the U.S.-

Ganesha Temple

Ganesha Temple located in Flushing, Queens is run by the Hindu Temple Society of North America. It is one of the most renowned and biggest Hindu temples in America and has a member count of around 20,000. Apart from the daily services offered, an active community centre is also run by the temple authorities which conduct formal classes, lectures and programmes, focusing on the practice of religion, philosophy, culture, arts and music. The temple was opened before the general public in the 1970’s and traditional events and religious events hosted here attract people from all over the country. A major part of this magnificent and impressive construction was built in India and then imported to America for reconstruction. Dozens of stone icon of Hindu deities made manually adds to the beauty of the monument.

4: Sorry to say
You have not done full research for this article,
It is amazing that you have not included any of the BAPS Swaminarayan Temples from USA.
There are three Hindu temples which are bigger then the five you have mentioned.
1. BAPS Swaminarayan Temple in Chicago.
2. BAPS Swaminarayan Temple in Houston.
3. BAPS Swaminarayan Temple in Atlanta.
Please do some research on the above mentioned temples, and update your article.

It doesn't matter how big your baps temples are. People go to the temple that they follow. People believe in God that their fathers and grandfathers have been believing. It does not matter if your temple are bigger, your religion is made up while ours is created by Baghwan and Mataji.

Respected Sir,
I am Ramaswamy Mahadevan (Brahmin) from Trivandrum District, Kerala State (INDIA). I am a Hindu Priest and seeking a post of Hindu Priest in Canada & USA Hindu temples.
I am also a Carnatic Musician and Veenaist, giving lessons on the veena to some students here. Won Gold medal in Carnatic Vocal Concert Competition conducted by Sri Swathi Thirunal Sangeetha Sabha, Thiruvananthapuram.

I came to know that there are a lot of Hindu Temples situated around Canada & USA and they are providing daily rituals, accommodation and food to Priests. So I wish to work as Priest in Canada & USA Hindu Temples.

I would be pleased if you could help me by providing relevant information if you have any.

Thanking you,

Yours faithfully,
M. Ramaswamy.
