2 Indian Americans Honoured With Pravasi Bharatiya Samman

Bangalore :  We often come across numerous cliche events which are celebrated in our country and across the globe; but there are various days which go unnoticed by many. Apart from the local, national and international events, there are certain occasions that take place to commemorate the achievements of NRIs, one such event being the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas.

Pravasi Bharaiya Divas is celebrated in India on 9 January every year in an Indian City. This day is specially dedicated to the Indian citizens residing abroad. As a part of the program, Pravasi Bharatiya Sammam Award (PBSA) is conferred every year, since its establishment in 2003.

This year the event was held in Kochi on the 7th, 8th and 9th where Rajkeshwar Puryaag was the chief guest. Fifteen people were competing for this honor of great regard and amongst them; there were two Indian Americans who have managed to be a part of the glorious recognition.

Narendra Ramakrishna Kumar and Subhash Razdan are the two prestigious people from the U.S.

Narendra Kumar is conferred for his service in the healthcare sector. He is serving as the AAPI secretary currently, and has taken up responsibilities in different avenues from the past decade. His contributions involve social, political, professional and ethical arenas.
