Bangalore: A recent study conducted by Data Genetics on the most ATM Pins came up with a surprising result that the top 20 most popular password combinations which could be easily guessed summed upto 26.83 percent of the credentials surveyed .The technology consultancy published this report after analyzing 3.4 million passwords.

ATM Pin numbers with a combination of the digits 1234 are found to be the most vulnerable. The study also revealed that the most commonly used PIN numbers were 1234, 1111, 0000, 1212, 7777, 1004, 2000, 4444, 2222, 6969. Meanwhile, the top 10 common passwords accounted to 20 percent of the entire passwords surveyed.

According to another report from Huffington Post, 11 percent of the ten thousand possible four-digit combinations of the passwords could be easily cracked. The report also said that the security numbers starting with 19, for 19^th centaury were also in the lurch. However the passwords like 8068, 8093, 9629, 6835, 7637, 0738, 8398, 6793, 9480, and 8957 were found to be least popular and most secure.
