Google Dumps The URL On Browsers

BANGALORE: Google is all set to kill its URL on the Chrome browser with an update called ‘origin chip’. A button that can be clicked leaving behind the address bar to type a website’s name or a search request will replace the URL.

Presently, the chrome runs on the build 32 update and will be replaced by build 36 soon with the feature. It is under testing stages allowing the users to try or disable it. In this beta stage, the company checks for the user reactions on the URL button feature and it’s not sure whether it will be included on the new update.

With Google not making any official comment on this feature, it is speculated that the reasons for the change was to track down the internet attacks. Apparently, the Apple browsers do not display the full URL of the websites and shows only the domain names.
