3. Phillip Morris
Product: Cigarettes
Annual Revenue: $23 Billion
Promotes Forced Labor in: Kazakhstan
After grueling accusations from the Human Rights Watch the company at last was compelled to accept that it bought tobacco from firms that use child labor. The plantations in Kazakhstan which sell to Phillip Morris indulge in several illegal practices including slavery. The children are barely paid and have to suffer from various infections and skin diseases which leave evident marks on their necks and stomach. The Human rights organizations have deprived companies like Marlboro, Cambridge and Chesterfield to buy raw material from similar organization.
