Facebook's Timeline Gets A Facelift
Bangalore: Facebook has rolled out a fresh new layout for all timelines. Facebook’s Rose Yao wrote on a blog yesterday, “we’re rolling out improvements to timeline that help you express what's important to you.”
The social media site revamped it’s timeline in a hope that it will make it “easier to organize the things you care about.” Now the timeline; previously known as the “Facebook Wall” will have all its sections organized. “All posts are on the right side of your timeline, with photos, music and other recent activity on the left."
The world’s largest social media network was slowly slipping away from the limelight after its launch of the Graph search which did not blow everyone’s mind as millions are still queued up in the waiting list. This fresh new tweak was the most awaited feature in the 9 year old website’s recent updates.
Now, Movie buffs can use apps like Netflix and flixster to display which movies they have been watching. Those who love reading can maintain a list of books they'd want to read or add more to the list with Goodreads. What's more, if one of your friends reads this book that really got you interested, then you can add it to your own with the Add button – a feature which was quite popular in hi5.
The current timeline has the posts and the box for the status update on the left side while your friends list, photo albums and likes, among other things are on the right side. When the new update rolls out uniformly and is applied to your timeline; your columns will switch side.
