CES 2014 Unveils New Computing Products

Pronouncing a slightly different idea, Mooly Eden, Senior VP at Intel as well as general manager of Intel's Perceptual Computing unit, says that voice recognition is more desirable and important than touch. Companies like Asus, Toshiba, Acer, Dell, HP and Lenovo have already started working to make this hypothesis a reality and are planning to release Ultrabooks and tablets with Nuance’s Dragon Assistant voice recognition software later this year.

Speaking at the event, Eden proposed that to continue the upward thrust, “computing needs to take on a more ‘natural’ approach,” as reported by Rachel King of ZDNet. The Intel RealSense, a new technology comprised of hardware and software products promises to make human interfaces ‘natural’. Only time will tell whether all these new technological avatars will be as warmly accepted by the people as it is presented or will it fade with time.
