Fragmentation and comparison among consumers: And as if all of this wasn’t bad enough, data from Google’s Android developer platform shows that most users of the OS are on the 2.3 Gingerbread versions, while only 2.9 percent of all devices run on the latest Ice-cream Sandwich version.  This goes to show that about 86 percent of all users of the OS are on an out-dated version while iOS customers get the latest updates fairly quickly.
