Qualcomm's 64-Bit Processor To Get LTE For Cheaper Smart Devices
Bangalore: A new level of rivalry will soon be seen among the best tech-makers. Qualcomm’s forward plan on creating Smartphone chips with 64-bit features is said to outsmart Apple’s A7 chip.
Qualcomm said it would create these chips for mobile devices to provide greater efficiency and present a computer-like processor to the user, reports The Times of India. Its new Snapdragon 410 component will comprise of 4G cellphone connectivity technology (LTE) to meet the ever-rising demands of the cheaper Smartphones. The chip will also be the first 64 bit processor for Android devices. The processor will begin to prove its importance by debuting in inexpensive Smartphones by the second half of 2014.
Besides the 4G feature, the 64-bit processor will be judged as a standard product of Qualcomm, according to Michelle Leyden Li, Qualcomm’s senior director handling Snapdragon’s marketing schemes. Following the Apple iPhone trend, processor manufacturers are starting to wipe the gap between moderately powered mobile processors and robust chips of laptops and PCs.
