More Than Half Of Indian Mobile-Internet Users Are Below 24

Bangalore: Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) Forum came up with an interesting report after conducting a survey on the mobile-internet users in India. The younger generation aged between 18 to 24 stood first covering little over half of the total, who use their mobile phones to access internet, reports TOI. As per the Government data there are more than 873 million active mobile users and the mobile-internet market is on the boom.

The fact that the young generation of the country has a vital role to play in the upsurge of the mobile-internet users is clearly evident from the in formation published. Out of the 2000 mobile-internet users randomly surveyed, 51 percent fell under 18-24 age category grabbing the biggest portion of the pie. The age bracket between 25-35 stood second with 30 percent, while demography below 18 and above 35 contributed 9 and 10 percent respectively.

Another interesting information the survey brought out was the gender based cut out of mobile-internet users. Male populations were the majority holding 91 percent, and females contributed the rest, says the report.
