Microsoft To Join Google Glass Party

Bangalore: After Google’s Chinese counterpart, Baidu, the largest search engine in China, reportedly developed a prototype of Google Glass called ‘Baidu Eye,’ a new rumor states that, the software giant, Microsoft, wants to join the party too. The other companies which are reportedly working on the wearable gadgets include Apple and Samsung, reports IBM Live.

According to Apple insider reports, market analyst Brian White, told investors that Microsoft is planning to bring a Google Glass competitor and smartwatch next year.

Brian White believes that Microsoft don’t want to miss on the game when Google Glass launches later this year. Google’s entry in to the wearable gadget technology is driving other companies to try their hand at the technology. "It appears to us that Google has made significant breakthroughs around software applications as it relates to this new product. As such, we believe this initiative will kick off a major push into the field of wearable electronics and therefore will be closely scrutinized," White said.

If the rumor pans out, the Redmond Company could bring the wearable gadget as part of the Kinect revamp, which will be part of the next Xbox. It will also provide another front for Microsoft to launch prizefight to lead market for wearable gadgets, which will soon see the advent of other companies like Google and Apple.
