Bangalore: Karnataka Chief Minister, Siddaramaiah may meet Sheryl Sandberg, COO of Facebook during the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Dalian, China. The state officials are trying hard to arrange a conversation, to explore the possibilities of FB opening a centre in Bangalore. He is also said to have a discussion with Yorihiko Kojima, Chairman Mitsubishi Corporation and the mayor of Dalian.

Even though Facebook is a giant online social media, the company does not have any presence in the capital of the state, Bangalore. As per the information, Karnataka officials may request Facebook the company to consider setting up an office in Bangalore.

A 16 member team including the top officials and delegates of the state is said to accompany the Chief. Top Executives and influential officials from 90 countries will attend the program which addresses economic, industrial and technological development that transforms customer behavior business model and growth pattern. Siddaramaiah will present the state as a favorable hub of investment to attract investors. He is said to take part in the panel discussion regarding food security imperative and how national and regional progress be brought through innovation in agricultural investment.
