Google Glass Bans Sexually Explicit Content, MiKandi Under Fire

Bangalore: MiKandi, one of the largest adult app store released its first ever porn app for Google Glass on Monday, which according to the latest reports, had violated Google’s developer policies which prohibits apps from delivering sexually explicit content.

The porn app would enable Google's futuristic glass wearers to look at photos and watch videos filmed using Google Glass. MiKandi, wanted to expand from the traditional first-person point of view videos to one on one interactions between adults who both have Glass, reports CNN.

MiKandi CEO Jesse Adams said that his company made sure in following the Google Glass developer terms when it started creating the app two weeks ago. But those rules were modified by Google and the app store has left with no other options but to comply with the new rules.

"Although the app is still live and people are using it, at this point we must make changes to the app in order to comply with the new policies. Expect to see changes to the application tomorrow," said Adam.

The new clause in Google's developing policies states "We don't allow Glassware content that contains nudity, graphic sex acts, or sexually explicit material."

Adam told that more than 61,000 people have visited the landing page for the adult app, and a dozen Glass owners have already signed up with the app. The optimistic adult app maker vowed to work something out, "We are going to have to be really creative, there are tasteful and artful things we can do," says Adam.
