E-commerce Player Limeroad Set To Enter U.S., U.K. Markets

New Delhi: Limeroad, an online shopping site for women, will extend its operation to the U.S. and U.K. by June-July to tap the market in these countries.

The company also plans to expand its operations in 23 countries in the coming months.

"We will first expand our operations in the developed markets of the US and the U.K. as the markets there offer very promising opportunities to us," Limeroad founder and CEO Suchi Mukherjee told PTI.

In all, the company will launch its operation in 23 countries, including the U.S. and U.K., in the coming months to tap the growing market of online women buyers, she added.

On investment, Mukherjee said, "We are on the lookout for funds, but are not in a hurry. We are weighing our options and will seek such offers based on these issues."

In October last year, Matrix Partners India and Lightspeed Venture Partners led a $5 million funding in AM Marketplaces, the parent company of LimeRoad.com.

The shopping experience on Limeroad allows customers to shop by city, brand or flagship store, where you can browse and check shops, brands and retailers of your choice, she said.
