Apple Just Declared War On These 15 Products

Bangalore: Each and every update from Apple over the years is under close watch, not by the Apple fans, but by its rivals. Every time the company releases new products, it signals one thing: It wants to kill some devices, no wonder why several industries are shaken up by Apples long list of changes announced in its Worldwide Developers Conference yesterday.

Here are Apple’s next victims, compiled by Business Insider.

Google Maps

Apple decided to kill Google Maps, one of the most popular app in the iStore with Apple's home made app. The new map will offer 3D views, turn by turn directions to your destination and is voiced by Siri. It also integrates recommendations and restaurant reviews from Yelp.

Optical Drives

The world is dumping CD-ROMs and DVDs, so are Macs. New MacBook Pro will not have a DVD drive similar to the MacBook Air. But the company will continue to sell a USB optical drive, for the people who can’t live without them.
