Android 4.3 Is Set To Debut With Surprises

Bangalore: Google I/O did disappoint the android fans who eagerly waited for the next big android overhaul, the Key Lime Pie or at least the next update to its current android; but the good news is, 4.3 Jelly Bean is all ready to hit Android devices with a bunch of surprises in store.

According to GottaBeMobile, the next iteration, Android 4.3 Jelly Bean will be launched in this month or early next month. It is to have some core stock android apps, and if we go by the leaked S4 Android 4.3 build, there are all sorts of notification-related changes. The update is expected to arrive with Galaxy S4 and HTC One Google Editions in July.

What kind of core apps one gets is not clear yet, but it apparently helps if you want to turn your Android experience into a stock Android mod without actually rooting your devices and installing custom ROMs, according to Android Authority. And the site also revealed that there is an update to YouTube app too, which will incorporate the multitasking feature, meaning that users would be able to watch a video using the YouTube app while using other apps at the same time. The YouTube app is not necessarily a 4.3 specific, and it may get launched before the next android update.

When it comes to the notification related changes, the new notification services are apps called as "Notification Listeners" that can read notifications, dismiss them, and activate action buttons in a notification. Though it sounds like everything the notification panel currently does, the new is that you can launch it from the status bar, like a 3rd party app and it would be able to replicate the entire notification panel, according Android Police.
