A project at Indiegogo, a crowdfunding platform, titled Intellipaper, has managed to insert a silicon chip and turn it into a paper USB drive. It can be used to share files, pictures and documents.

The project has many exciting applications, including a replacement to the popular QR code. Also, it addresses the growing problem of e-waste.
