3 Reasons Why Software Engineers Are Vastly Underrated


Bangalore: Often in spite of being the base pillars of the software company, software engineers pass unnoticed and worse, the way they are treated in the company. Pasha Sadri, ex employee of Yahoo and the cofounder of Polyvore, a community powered social commerce website, reasons why the software engineers are vastly underrated and also explains how to get what they are worth, reports Business Insider        

Pasha says during his tenure at Yahoo (2001-2007) has learned how to do many things and he points out that crucially how not to do certain things, the things like how not to treat engineers.  He says that though Yahoo had many well intensions, it did not empower the engineers though engineers are the once who create tons of value and how the non-engineers become the gatekeepers.

He cofounded Polyvore after quitting Yahoo to fulfill the goal of building an environment that highly values engineers and treats them as first class citizens.
