11. Trip Hawkins

At apple: Marketing Director

In the early years of Apple Inc., Trip Hawkins worked there as a marketing director. By 1982 he bid bye to the company and founded Electronic Arts. Steve Jobs observed this shift as an act of betrayal. Though, for Hawkins it was a right move as he could step into Electronic Arts. He also invited some more ex-employees from Apple to help run the young video game company, including Dave Evans and Pat Marriott.

12. Marc Benioff

Company: Salesforce.com

Marc Benioff, short-term Apple alum, after spending his time coding for Apple in the 1980s eventually left the place to launch Salesforce.com. He is currently the CEO of the company and has defined its mission as ‘the end of software.’
