Choosing the wrong investor

Back in 2004 when Zuckerberg needed money to pay the servers for Facebook, he asked his rich friend Eduardo Saverin for help. Eduardo used the Facebook ad space to promote his own startup and Zuckerberg had to dissolve Eduardo’s shares to push him out of the company.

What could have happened?

As Eduardo held the major shares of Facebook, Zuckerberg could have got into a disastrous lawsuit for pushing him out and lost every bit of Facebook. To Facebook’s relief, Eduardo was not aware of Zuckerberg’s moves.
