Amar Gopal Bose: (1929-2013)
Dr. Amar Gopal Bose, chairman and founder of an audio technology company Bose Corporation. Is known for rich sound of its small tabletop radios and its noise-canceling headphones popular among frequent fliers.
After he received his bachelor’s degree and a doctorate from MIT, and this in the field of electrical engineering. Bose who was brought up and raised in Philadelphia to parents who had their natives from India, but later went on to build a company, which was based in Framingham, in 1964. The company’s President, Bob Maresca, says that the company will be held privately.
Ray Dolby: (1933-2013)
Ray’s contributions to the audio platforms are countless, because he holds around 50 patents; there are not many things in the audio industry where you will find Dolby’s technology not present. His contributions in the field of cinema, sound are still the key inventions and advancements made which was way back in 1965.
He began his career in the field of audio and visual recording, in which he helped to develop a videotape recording system for the Ampex Corporation in the year 1950. He later went to complete his Ph.D. at the Britain Cambridge University and in the year 1965 he is known to have founded Dolby Laboratories in London. Dolby also won an Oscar, a Grammy award and two Emmys for his work.
