Bangalore: After releasing the developer’s preview of Windows 8 OS back in September, Microsoft has rolled out its interesting feature-filled consumer copy of the operating system which aims to rule not only PC’s but Tablets and Smartphones too.

The company is successful in integrating its traditional Windows desktop interface with the new Metro interface along with a number of handy touch features for tablets. Here are some of the interesting ones that stood up in the user preview of the new OS.

Windows Store

The first look of Windows store- Microsoft’s reply to Apple’s App store was a main attraction in the preview. Apps and softwares are beautifully categorized into many groups including Social, Entertainment, Music & Video, news, food and so on. Users can easily swipe back and forth through the small tiles with many sections like new release, top paid, top free and all stars. The store currently has only a few softwares and metro-style apps which can be downloaded by anyone with a hotmail or Windows live messenger account.
