Bangalore: Lately, accessing the internet had become easier than finding food, at least in the country we live. But you will be surprised after reading about the internet laws of below listed countries. Some of them want people to have a government permit for an internet connection while others have a long list (even 5 million!) of websites blocked without any reason.

Here are the ten countries with most ridiculous internet laws.

#10 United Arab Emirates

The Law: UAE has a firewall which blocks all porn related materials, chat rooms, dating sites, and even services like Skype and websites like Flickr. The filtering is so strong that sometimes the search for a particular word can cause you denial of access. The filtering has even affected some Wikipedia pages.

Penalties: In 2009, Ahmen Mohammed bin Gharib, the editor of an online magazine along with Inas Al Bourini, the owner of the website was fined 20,000 dirhams for posting an article that claimed there was “administrative corruption” and “embezzlement” in the state run TV channel.
