Zomato set to launch 'Quick 10-Minute Delivery Pilots' in NCR
Zomato is preparing to launch pilot tests for its 10-minute food delivery service, 'Quick,' in the NCR region next week, according to sources.
"Zomato has reached out to restaurant partners to kickstart its 10-minute delivery initiative, selecting eateries with consistently high ratings for hygiene, kitchen preparation time, and quality," said Kawaljeet Singh, CEO and Co-founder of Harsukh Foods, which operates over 50 restaurant outlets in the NCR region.
Another F&B industry founder revealed that Zomato, led by Deepinder Goyal, had emailed restaurant partners, inviting them to offer select menu items under this new program.
Zomato declined to comment on the queries sent by YourStory, instead referring to its third-quarter shareholder letter, where it outlined its plan to enable 10-minute deliveries through curated menu items and a dedicated delivery fleet.
The 'Quick' service will compete with Swiggy’s rapid food delivery model, 'Bolt,' which has gained traction and now contributes 5% of Swiggy’s orders, as per the company’s September quarter earnings.
"Swiggy has made 'Bolt' a major focus, providing high visibility and multiple access points for Bolt-partnered restaurants," said Karan Tanna, Founder & CEO of Ghost Kitchens, which operates brands like Starboy Pizzas and Speak Burgers.
He added that Bolt is prominently featured on Swiggy’s homepage and food section, driving user engagement. Restaurants are increasingly adding Bolt-compatible dishes to their menus to ensure they benefit from the platform’s high visibility.
The 10-minute food delivery segment is seeing competition from both new and existing players. Zepto Cafe, an early entrant in the space, has carved out its own niche as an independent service within the company’s quick commerce ecosystem.
