Zomato Enters New Zealand, Adds 5 Other New Cities

Reformatted and more relevant search results -- de-cluttered search listings by clubbing fast food chains into a single result

Completely redesigned interface making the website more easy to use than before

The biggest and most important feature being launched is personalization of ratings. Users will now be able to follow other foodies who match their taste in food and opt to only see restaurant rating aggregates from these people. A user can also opt in to use other social networks to build their own personalized version of Zomato.

Deepinder Goyal, Founder & CEO, said "The goal of personalized ratings is to protect users from the insane amount of information that is created on Zomato everyday. Now, users will be able to create their own trust circle of restaurant recommendations. This should help our users to zero in on their next dining destination more easily".

Deepinder also said, "Along with working on the product, we have been focusing on expanding our geographical footprint aggressively within our current markets as well as into new markets over the past few months. The United Kingdom and South Africa sections of the website have both seen an overwhelming response, with users demanding to see us in other cities within these countries. New Zealand has been on the cards for a while as it is an excellent market for a product like ours and we are looking forward to a positive response from both Auckland and Wellington. We are also looking at expanding into Australia over the next few months, in addition to Turkey and Indonesia".
