Zetwerk expands Electronics Manufacturing Leadership with 3 Key Appointments

Contract manufacturing startup Zetwerk has reorganized the leadership of its electronics manufacturing services (EMS) division, Zetwerk Electronics, to strengthen its operations and drive growth. Bharat Chopra, the Chief Operating Officer (COO), will now oversee the company’s facilities in Noida.

Additionally, former Nokia Executive Kannan Krishnan has been appointed as the Head of South Operations to focus on operational efficiency and expansion in Southern India. Santhosh Kumar Ramakrishnan has also joined as Assistant Vice-President (AVP) of sales for the EMS division. All three executives will report to Josh Foulger, president of electronics at Zetwerk.

In a statement, Zetwerk highlighted that these leadership appointments aim to reinforce its position as a leading electronics manufacturing services provider and accelerate growth in the sector. Co-founder Rahul Sharma expressed enthusiasm about the new team, citing their industry expertise as crucial for boosting growth, enhancing services, and delivering exceptional value to customers.

Zetwerk has been expanding its electronics manufacturing footprint aggressively, making significant investments in its EMS division. This includes taking over the management of two manufacturing facilities in Noida and committing 1,000 crore to expand the division. The startup expects this internal push to significantly increase production capacity across products like smart meters, mobile phones, smartwatches, TVs, home appliances, automotive parts, and POS machines.

Additionally, Zetwerk has partnered with undisclosed entities to manufacture advanced IT hardware products in India. The company has also received substantial incentives from the Uttar Pradesh government, which it plans to reinvest into its electronics business to align with India’s vision of manufacturing excellence.
