Zepto Teams Up With Labour Ministry To Add 10,000 NCS Jobs

The Ministry of Labour and Employment has inked a historic partnership with Zepto, a leading quick commerce company, to enhance employment opportunities and enhance youth employability under the aegis of the National Career Service (NCS) portal. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in New Delhi in front of Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya.
As part of this partnership, Zepto executes 10,000 job postings on the NCS portal during the term of the MoU. These postings are aimed at establishing an organized and predictable flow of urban employment opportunities with a special emphasis on youth, women, and first-time jobbers in the employment arena. The proposal is aimed at getting gig and full-time employment into the formal employment fold, allowing access to social security schemes and upskilling.

Dr. Mandaviya identified that NCS platform has become a unique interface between employees and job seekers, with over 52 lakh registered employers and about 7.5 crore vacancies enabled since its inception. He also emphasized plans to enhance the platform using Artificial Intelligence and other digital portals to suit job seekers with opportunities suitable for their place and qualification.
Zepto, Co-Founder, Kaivalya Vohra stated he was honored to work with the Ministry, adding that the collaboration will create thousands of gig and full-time employment opportunities, empowering India's youth and powering the nation's economy.
MoU is a complement to the Ministry's previous agreements with other groups like Amazon, Swiggy, Rapido, and Quikr Jobs, collectively bringing about almost five lakh jobs on the NCS platform, increasing the employability of youth further.
