XpressBees teams up with ONDC, providing nationwide delivery services
XpressBees, an e-commerce logistics company, has teamed up with the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC), expanding its delivery services to cover 20,000 postal codes in India. By utilizing ONDC's strong digital framework and infrastructure, XpressBees intends to strengthen its standing in the e-commerce sector by streamlining order management, shipment tracking, and ensuring prompt deliveries. Through its tech-focused strategy, the company seamlessly integrates with online marketplaces, ultimately enriching the customer journey.
In a recent Series G funding round, XpressBees secured $80 million from Teachers’ Venture Growth (TVG), an investment arm of Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, propelling the company's growth and aligning with its future goals. Additionally, following XpressBees’ inception in 2015, their partnership with ONDC comes after the acquisition of Trackon, a logistics and supply chain company, marking its inaugural acquisition. This strategic maneuver further fortifies their position within the e-commerce logistics sector.
T Koshy, the Managing Director and CEO of ONDC, highlighted the collaboration's importance, expressing that “At ONDC, our aim is to establish an accessible network that connects buyers, sellers, and various intermediaries seamlessly, eliminating digital barriers. Logistics stands as a pivotal element in this transformation. With XpressBees joining us, it will bolster our logistical network, fostering a thriving e-commerce environment”.
