WSO2 has partnered with Microsoft to bolster the Indian startup ecosystem by enabling startups to build cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure using Choreo. This collaboration emphasizes the introduction of Choreo, WSO2's advanced cloud-native internal developer platform, granting startups in India comprehensive access to resources, assistance, and technical knowledge for cloud-native app development.
Cloud-native application development's rising popularity is attributed to its advantages, yet the complexity of setting up and managing cloud infrastructure poses a challenge for startups. Many startups eager to embrace the cloud lack the resources to handle both cloud infrastructure setup and the development of digital products for their clientele. This collaboration aims to equip the Indian startup community with a valuable set of tools to navigate the intricacies of cloud-native application development. It introduces Choreo to startups across India, helping them overcome barriers in entering the cloud-native app development domain.
Choreo, being built atop Microsoft Azure, is tailored for development teams reliant on the Azure cloud platform. It harnesses over 30 Azure services, including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Key Vault, and Azure DevOps, providing an integrated development platform on Azure. This streamlines cloud-native app development, enhances developer efficiency, and expedites the delivery of digital products to market.
Kanchana Wickremasinghe, Vice President and General Manager of WSO2's SaaS business unit, expressed that Choreo simplifies cloud-native app development by offering essential tools and capabilities for building and managing applications on Microsoft Azure. This simplification significantly boosts developer productivity, thereby accelerating the time required to launch new products and solutions. Ultimately, this enhancement is expected to yield increased return on investment (ROI) and reduced total cost of ownership (TCO).
